Civic-minded bikers Civic-minded bikers Kevin Mckeehan, 12, again organized and recently participated in Kevin’s Cancer Ride. Families and friends of Kevin, a student at Redwood Middle School, made pledges of donations for Kevin, his younger brother, Sean Mckeehan, 10, Aaron Andree, 11, and Justin Nine, 12. The older boys also attend Redwood. Sean goes to University Elementary School.

Between them, the boys raised $3,600 by riding a combined 757.44 miles over Thanksgiving weekend. The money was presented

earlier this month to the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation. “What these outstanding young men have accomplished is absolutely unbelievable,” said Margaret Hill, president of the San Fernando Valley chapter. “The future of our country is in good hands with exceptional, overachieving young men like these. I can’t wait to see what they do next year.”

Kevin and the boys are looking for pledges for next year’s ride.
