Mike Sanders has resigned as head football coach at Thousand Oaks High.

Sanders coached at TOHS for seven seasons, winning a Marmonte League championship in 2001 and compiling a 45-32 overall record. His teams qualified for the postseason five times. In addition, he coached the school's only Parade All-American, quarterback Ben Olson, and the Lancers' first player drafted by the NFL, wideout Dave Anderson.

"It's been a real pleasure," Sanders said. "I've loved coaching the kids in this community. They've been outstanding."
