Teen Center winter enrollment begins

The Thousand Oaks Teen Center is taking registration for its winter programs.

Most classes start the week of Jan. 15, 2007. Classes cost between $10 and $40, and run for either six or eight weeks.

Programs offered include girls' indoor volleyball, Texas hold 'em, billiards instruction, dodgeball, vocal performing, hip hop dance, beginning rock guitar (electric and acoustic), beginning and intermediate drums, video production, website design, gamemaking and more.

Classes for high school students only include driver's education, SAT practice tests and a boys' basketball league.

Also offered are workshops in CPR, first aid, babysitting, selfdefense and rape prevention, digital photography and two parenting workshops.

During the winter months, the center will also sponsor several trips including paintballing, Lakers games and Mountain High for snowboarding.
