Holiday concert scheduled

Village Voices Chorale will present "Harmonies of Hope" at 8 p.m. Fri., Dec. 8 and 2:30 p.m. Sat., Dec. 9 at the T.O. Civic Arts Plaza Scherr Forum Theatre, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

The concert, a journey of holiday songs from around the world, will be directed by Gloria Hilliard. The chorale will be accompanied by Christine DeKlotz. Songs include "Brazilian Psalm," "Ave Marie" and "O Holy Night."

The Village Voices is a nonprofit organization which supports vocal music programs in public schools and provides scholarships to college students pursuing careers in vocal music.
