University Village is toy drop-off location

University Village Thousand Oaks, the new continuing care retirement community in Thousand Oaks, has kicked off its inaugural "Toys for Tots" campaign. Now in its 59th year, the popular U.S. Marine Corps Reserve program recently selected University Village as one of three collection points for the city of Thousand Oaks. University Village is now ac

cepting donations of new, unwrapped toys at its Information Center, 3350 Campus Drive on the corner of Campus Drive and Olsen Road, just north of Cal Lutheran University. It's open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.

"Our goal for University Village is to be actively involved in the community we serve, and we can't think of a more rewarding chari

table program than Toys for Tots," said Warren Spieker, vice president of University Village.

University Village, which opens next year, is a continuing care retirement community for people 62 years of age and older.
