Theme named for CVD

The Conejo Valley Days Board of Directors announced the theme for the 2007 Conejo Valley Days. "It's Fun, It's New and It's All For You!" was submitted by Thousand Oaks resident Jill Carmen. The winning theme was selected from 161 entries.

"The theme is perfect for what we have planned for Conejo Valley Days in 2007," said Jean Duffy, 2007 CVD general chair. "We'll be bringing back most of our traditional events, but lots of new and exciting events and entertainment are in the works."

As the theme winner, Carmen will receive four, all-inclusive five-days passes to the festival, which will be held May 2 through 6, 2007. The passes will give her and three guests entry into CVD and onsite events that require separate admission. A Thousand Oaks resident for 10 years,

Carmen has never attended Conejo Valley Days. "We're really excited about attending this year to see what it's all about," said Carmen.

Carmen's theme will be seen on all Conejo Valley Days items including badges, posters and advertising.

Conejo Valley Days officially begins on Sat., April 21, 2007, with the CVD Kick-Off Picnic and Classic Car Show at the Civic Arts Plaza lawn. The 32nd annual Conejo Valley Days Chili CookOff and Whiskeroo Contest will be held on Sun., April 29 at Conejo Creek Park South.

The fiveday carnival and festival will be at Conejo Creek Park South.
