SQUIRREL CRAZY-Linda Caywood of Westlake Village took us seriously when we said we wanted Squirrel of the Month photos, but not before she went on a guilt trip over squirrelproof bird feeders. Linda said the squirrels had destroyed two bird feeders, so she purchased a feeder that worked for the birds, but only frustrated the squirrels. "I felt sorry I did it," Linda admits. So she then fashioned her own squirrel feeder, and she fills it with dried corn every day. Now she's serving four to five squirrels each day; she knows them on sight, and has given them names-Fat Albert, Tiny Tim, Eva and Zsa Zsa. The latter two, we assume, chatter in Hungarian. Linda submitted enough squirrel photos to last nine months, but we're only going to use one. Thanks, Linda. You've proven to us that people around here are either nuts or corny about squirrels.
