Artists, businesses for corporate sponsorship and items for gift baskets are still being sought for the annual fundraiser for Loving Heart Hospice Foundation, a Moorparkbased nonprofit organization that provides no-cost medical hospice care to lowincome patients in Ventura County and San Fernando Valley.

The benefit is scheduled for Sat., Dec. 2 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at a private home in Lake Sherwood Estates in T.O.

The "Art of Hearts" will celebrate the holidays with a cocktail reception and auction of unique art pieces. Each piece of art in the silent and live auction incorporates a heart in the design, either as a key or subtle part of the design.

"It's no surprise that the heart is the perfect symbol of our efforts. Every year we are amazed at the talented artists who either create something special for this event or add a heart to something they've already created," said Martha Zeiher, director of fundraising for the foundation.

Contributing this year are such artists as actress Jane Seymour, Miami pop artist Romero Britto, Deirdre McKay, Kate Yarbrough, Austin mosaic artist Marian Haigh, Sheila Fein, Shannon Lundberg and others.

The event will also include the lighting of a Christmas tree and menorah in honor of loved ones. Gift baskets and heart items suitable for holiday gifts will be for sale.

Tickets to the benefit are $75 per person and must be purchased in advance.
