Loving Heart Hospice Foundation, in conjunction with TLC Home Hospice, has announced the addition of a Grief Recovery Group session on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Regency Room at Castle Hill Retirement Village, 3575 N. Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks. The next session will be Nov. 15.

"The addition of this session

n Thousand Oaks brings to the community a much needed evening option for those dealing with the death of a loved one," said Pamela Conley, grief recovery coordinator for TLC Home Hospice.

The sessions are free to any adult in the Thousand Oaks area

who's having difficulty dealing with the loss of a loved one. Sessions are confidential and facilitated by a trained counselor from TLC Home Hospice.

"Statistics have shown that counseling done in the group setting is very successful in helping family and friends of a loved one by sharing their feelings with those who have had similar experiences," said Conley. "A healthy community depends on the ability of those who encounter grief to learn how to deal with those feelings in order to resume a healthy lifestyle."

Attendees at the sessions don't have to have been the friend or family member of a hospice client. Everyone is welcome to participate.
