The Goebel Senior Adult Center will present a number of special events in the next few months. For more information on any event, call (805) 381-2744. The center is at 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Orientation for newcomers, to learn about available services, is 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wed., Nov. 15 at the center.

Betty Berry, senior advocate, and HICAP counselors will present a free Medicare workshop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 16. Reservations required by calling the center.

Flu shots will be available for all ages from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., Nov. 18. The cost is $25 or Medicare coverage.

Special trips in January include Winter Break in Laughlin, Imax Theater and lunch at Lawry's, and Jet Propulsion Lab and lunch at McCormick and Schmick's.

The center will host a New Year's Eve dance and casino night with chance to win prizes and gift certificates.
