Dissident's artwork on display

BACK IN THE U.S.S.R.-Calabasas resident Dianne Gubin studies a painting by Russian painter Klever, a Thousand Oaks resident, during opening night of Klever's art display at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza on Sunday. His work, representing his dissident "nonconformist" artistic visions during the years of Soviet repression, will be on display through Jan. 5.
