Won't be voting for Stephens
Tim Stephens' campaign brochures falsely states that Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks endorses him.
No, she told him for 10 days to take it off his website. He left her name on his brochures, saying it was "too late" and he mailed them out anyway.
He wrongly says that Conejo Valley Unified School District is in the top 10th in the state regarding API scores. No, it is 81 percent. He misrepresents his old school, Meadows, as being something special as the CVUSD's first national Blue Ribbon school, ignoring the fact that it is now last with a "1" in similar school rankings.
Eight years ago he wrote in his candidate's statement, "We created the California Top 100 School at Meadows." Yup, he created it all right--there's no such award from the state.
Stephens supports Rob Reiner's preschool program here, and is using four of our classrooms for the Neighborhood for Learning Program. This program is a magnet for illegal aliens and is also required attendance for some child abusers in the Parents Anonymous Program. Cathy Carlson Thousand Oaks
