Two challengers best for our public schools
I strongly believe that John Andersen and Greg Lennox- highly respected men of the community-are the best candidates for the Conejo Valley Unified School District Board of Education. Both share a genuine desire to include all input while actively engaging those of diverse perspectives to participate in the process to make students' needs our top priority.
I have had the pleasure of communicating with Mr. Andersen and Mr. Lennox on several occasions regarding numerous issues. Both are eager to listen to concerns and entertain innovative ideas-collaboration, diplomacy and integrity are the key to unlocking the door to progress.
As a team, both bring advanced education, extensive board experience and farreaching community service experience to the table.
This is important to know, because Election Day is fast approaching. I am overcome with appreciation for the privilege of voting that so many Americans take for granted-a privilege that millions of people in other parts of the world can only dream of.
I realize it takes effort to know what the candidates stand for, but the effort is worthwhile and the outcome always significant, if not critical for our children specifically and our society in general.
That's why it's more important than ever that you understand the many strengths of John Andersen and Greg Lennox. After all, your vote for school board can directly affect the future of your child, your family and your community.
As a former teacher and administrator in Glendale schools, I understand firsthand the shortand longterm influence schooling has on both the students and community.
Knowing that we have the finest resources available, if we only choose to participate, I'm excited to think that each of us could play a greater part in celebrating our fine education community by contributing our time and talents -and our votes-to make it even better. Now's the time to vote. Jeanette Day Thousand Oaks
