Gillette and DiGuiseppe make sense

I love the open spaces for beauty's sake and for the recreational uses that I enjoy like hiking and biking. Open spaces contribute to the quality of life in Thousand Oaks and make it an oasis in Ventura County.

This is in jeopardy each and every time we elect officials that may not have an agenda in line with my ideas.

I believe that Mayor Dennis Gillette and candidate for City Council John DiGuiseppe will maintain and preserve this dream.

We cannot allow campaign rhetoric and "pie in the sky" promises and intimations that this will not continue to be believed.

Other candidates would want you to believe that unless they are elected, Thousand Oaks will have high rise buildings, less open space, and destroy our quality of life.

I reject these misleading campaign statements. I know that open space has been purchased and will continue to be purchased.

We must elect officials who share the dream, not just for themselves and this generation, but for many generations in the future.

For me, there is no question that they are Mayor Dennis Gillette and John DiGuiseppe. Joel Blitz Thousand Oaks
