As a candidate for the board of education is Conejo Valley Unified School District, I would like to extend a "thank you" to the many parents, teachers and taxpayers throughout the district for their expressions of support and encouragement. It is exciting to receive such broad support.

For those of you who are not familiar with my platform, my commitments to the community are as follows:

1. To provide greater parental input on policies and procedures (such as the Christmas vacation schedule).

2. To provide expert management leadership for our $225 million enterprise.

3. To pursue academic excellence through proven curriculum and methods, teaching the "whole student," and employee empowerment.

4. To model and pursue collaboration and diplomacy.

5. To support the family values of the community.

I've been endorsed by three members of the Ventura County Board of Education, the Conejo Valley Association of Realtors, and other notable individuals and organizations.
