Bill-de la Peña, Wall and Masry the top candidates

Please, voters join me and ask your fellow citizens to vote for the people that will give us back our power, our ethics and our opportunity to preserve what's left of nature and appeal of a semirural community.

Vote for those willing to give a listening ear to your opinions and requests for a more family and citizen oriented community. Let's elect a council that demands affordable housing built by developers, a council that protects our open spaces from huge mansions in wildlife corridors, a council that does not deviate from our general plan to accommodate developers. Claudia Bill de la Peña, Janet Wall and Louis Masry would live up to those promises.

Andy Fox, Dennis Gillette and Bob Wilson have proven by their record that they subscribe more to a materialistic, consumption-oriented society by stressing the need to sustain our city by overriding the citizens' desires and accommodating big business and developers.

As our politicians make our community less affordable by serving the elite, the middle class struggles for time with their families, trying to make ends meet. What is worse is the fact that they mislead and deny their preferential support of development when election time comes round.

They misuse the label "slow growth," knowing that's what the people really want. Andrea DeLong Thousand Oaks
