Take an extra hour off this weekend
2006-10-26 / Front Page
Standard time returns across the United States at 2 a.m. Sun., Oct. 29 when clocks should be turned back one hour. Daylight-saving time has been in effect since the first Sunday in April.
A few areas in the U.S., not many, stay on standard time throughout the year.
Daylight-saving time was created to give more hours of sunlight for leisuretime activities during the summer months and as a means to save energy.
