Friendship Circle hosts fair

The Conejo Valley Friendship Circle will host a community-wide kick-off fair from 1 to 3 p.m. Sun., Oct. 29 at 30345 Canwood St. in Agoura Hills.

Families with children with special needs and interested teenagers are encouraged to attend the fair. The Friendship Circle is a local nonprofit organization that pairs teenage volunteers with special needs children.

As part of the program, a teenage volunteer visits a specific child each week. The volunteer's mission is to develop a relationship with the child through special playtime activities, creative art projects, learning new skills and reading books together.

Beginning its third year, The Conejo Valley Friendship Circle is introducing a Miracle Sports League for special needs chil

dren ages 8 through 13. Also new this year is indoor rock climbing. For further information, call Rochel Bryski, program director, at (818) 865-2233.
