Civil War reenactment next weekend

The Rotary Club of Moorpark's Civil War ree n a c t m e n t p r o j e c t , "Gettysburg- Civil War Battles and Encampment," is scheduled for Sat. and Sun., Nov. 4 and 5 at Moorpark's Tierra Rejada Ranch. Gates will open at 10 a.m. both days and battles will commence at noon, 3 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, and at noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

This year's event reenacts many of the battles of Gettysburg, perhaps the most famous of the Civil War, and will include Pickett's Charge, Culp Hill, The Wheatfield, and Little Round Top. This is the fifth year this R o t a r y fundraiser is being held. Tierra Rejada Ranch is at 3370 Sunset Drive, Moorpark, just behind the entrance to the Underwood F a m i l y Farms.
