Conejo Free Clinic to host 23rd annual Golf Classic at Moorpark Country Club Conejo Free Clinic will spon- sor its 23rd annual Golf Classic with dinner and auction on Mon., Oct. 9 at the Moorpark Country Club. This is the first year CFC will be at the Country Club. The tournament will be a four-per- son Texas Scramble, shotgun start. There will be separate divi- sions for men and women with prizes in both divisions. Each player will receive a golf vest with tournament logo as well as lunch and drinks on the course and a barbecue buffet. Putting and chipping con- tests will take place before the golf tournament begins. Part of the tournament is a Banker's Chal- lenge with four- somes from lo- cal banking es- tablishments vying for a per- petual trophy that the winning foursome will display at their bank for a year. Individual players are $200 and include chipping and putting contest, two mulligans and three tee chances. Tee signs can be purchased for $250 or $200 if you're playing.
There will also be a live and silent auction with live auction items including a foursome with carts at S h e r w o o d Country Club, Los Angeles Lakers tickets and a week at Casa Lala in M a n z a n i l l o , Mexico. Silent auc- tion items in- clude a large va- riety of wines, Uncle Milton toy baskets, golf packages and dinners. Dinners are $30 each.
