Westlake Lutheran hires new youth minister

Westlake Lutheran Church has added a new youth minister, Sam Campeau, to the pastoral staff. Campeau, a senior at California Lutheran University, will assist the church in expanding its youth and family program offerings to better serve the congregation and community.

Campeau has held various po- sitions at El Camino Pines Lutheran retreats and conferences for the past five years, including camp program director. He has also been involved in serveral community programs such as the Scandinavian Festival, Matthews Leadership Forum and the Com- munity Leaders Association an- nual auction.

"We are excited to have Sam join our ministry team and look

forward to the new opportunities this presents for our growing church family and community," said the Rev. Craig Beeker, church pastor.

"I've been involved in youth programs for many years and my goal is to provide a safe, faith- based environment for kids to come and connect with one an- other," said Campeau. "I want to provide a place where faith is not just discussed but put into action."
