"Making Music Matter" is the theme of the third annual Music Fest and Carnival from 1 to 5 p.m. Sun., Oct. 8 on the campus of Acacia Elementary School, 55 W. Norman Ave. in Thousand Oaks.

Carnival games, craft booths, a silent auction, train rides, food, entertainment and more are planned. The New West Sym- phony Music Van will allow kids to get hands-on musical experi- ence with instruments.

All proceeds of the event will support Acacia's unique music program.
