Theme contest begins for CVD

The theme contest for the 2007 Conejo Valley Days (CVD) is underway. More than 220 themes were submitted for last year's festival. The winning theme will be selected by the Conejo Valley Days Committee.

"We will be introducing new attractions and entertainment for 2007, so we're looking for a theme that gives Conejo Valley Days a fresh new feel," said Jean Duffy, the event's new general chair. "The theme doesn't have to rhyme or have 'country' or 'cow- boy' in it as many themes have in the past."

The winner of the contest will be announced in November and will receive four all-inclusive

five-day passes to the festival, which will run May 2 through 6 next spring. The passes will give the winner and three guests entry to the festival and to onsite events that require separate admission.

The deadline for submitting theme ideas is Oct. 30.

Entries can be sent by mail to Conejo Valley Days, P.O. Box 4589, Thousand Oaks, CA, 91359; by fax to (805) 371-8732; or via e-mail at info@conejovalleydays.com.

No more than five entries per person. Please include your tele- phone number with all submis- sions.
