African violets to be shown, sold

African violets and other plants will be shown and sold at the Thousand Oaks African Vio- let Society's annual show from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., Oct. 28 and 1 to 4 p.m. Sun., Oct. 29 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1400 E. Janss Road in T.O.

The event is free.

Supplies will also be available for purchase. Plants on display and for sale will be in all sizes.

For those who want to know more about African violets, the lo- cal group meets the first Thurs- day of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 667 Camino dos Rios in the annex of the church.
