I applaud the heroics of our firefighters but wonder why prevention isn't thought of?

Case in point: install irrigation devices or sprinkler systems in the fire-prone areas. The cost of water will be millions of dollars less than the cost of manpower, trucks, planes to drop water and fire retardant materials and loss of life or property.

Why hasn't someone done something about this? It angers me because this happens every year at this time and we are not prepared.
