Offices leasing briskly in Thousand Oaks

The Ventura office of CB Richard Ellis recently assisted several property landlords and tenants with lease negotiations of office spaces throughout the city of Thousand Oaks.

In the Briarwood Building at 299 W. Hillcrest Drive, the Source Group signed a five-year lease agreement for 7,609 square feet.

The environmental engineering firm is relocating its company headquarters to this larger office space from another Thousand Oaks location. The property landlord, SIMA Briarwood, and the Source Group were both represented in the transaction by the CBRE office team of Michael Slater, Tom Dwyer and Jennifer Rice.

Broadcast Response, an advertising company offering media planning, campaign analysis, tape

trafficking and long-form and spot-advertising services, relocated and expanded its offices to the Hillside Corporate Center at 555 St. Charles Drive, Suite 202. The property landlord, Arden Realty, signed a multiple-year lease agreement with Broadcast Response for the 5,316 square feetoffices. Arden Realty was represented in the lease negotiations by Westcord Commercial and the Slater, Dwyer & Rice CBRE team represented Broadcast Response.

In another Arden deal, Arden Realty leased 3,147 square feet at the Marin Corporate Center to Cal State Channel Islands. The university will house its extended education MBA program in the offices at 501 Marin St. Arden Realty was represented in the 5year lease agreement by Michael

Slater, Tom Dwyer and Matthew Heyn of CBRE. The university was represented by Cheri Honig of Prudential Realty.

At The Arbors of Thousand Oaks, 11,649 square feet was leased by Savvis Communications from the property landlord, Sares Regis Group. Savvis Communications, a global information technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, relocated its Ventura County operations to this site from the Countrywide building. The Arbors office space was one of the few available properties within their size range. Sares Regis was represented by the CBRE Slater, Dwyer and Rice office team along with CBRE broker Ken Ashen. Savvis Communications was represented by Jeff Hebrank with Greystone Partners.
