Mormon choir to perform in Newbury Park

The Southern California Mormon Choir will make a local performance at 7 p.m. Sat., Sept. 16.

The choir is a 120-voice choral ensemble formed in 1953 and has been performing concerts of classical, sacred, folk, patriotic and popular choral music.

The choir is directed by noted educator and musician Frank Turner of Newbury Park.

The goup will perform at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints Newbury Park Stake Center at 35 S. Wendy Drive, Newbury Park.
