Going boating

Westlake Village Encore invites all women to the group's first meeting of the year on Fri., Sept. 8 at the Westlake Yacht Club.

Coffee, treats and tea sandwiches will be served at 9:30 a.m., with a meeting following at 10 a.m. The new board and interest group chairmen will be introduced and the year's activities will be presented.

A boat ride on the lake, with root beer floats available, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to wear a sunhat and comfortable shoes.

The group will host a luncheon-fashion show, with designs provided by Coldwater Creek, in October.
