Republican Women Federated to hear about terrorism

Guest speaker at the next meeting of the Westlake Village Republican Women Federated will be Joseph Loconte, 2006 Distinguished Visiting Professor at Pepperdine University.

The event will begin with a social hour at 11:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon served at noon on Thurs., Sept. 14 at the Westlake Village Inn, 31943 W. Agoura Road, Westlake Village.

Cost for the luncheon is $35 and spouses are welcomed.

Loconte is a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C. where he examines the role of religious belief in strengthening democracy, advancing human rights and reforming civic society. He has also published several books.

Loconte has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Illinois and master's degree from Wheaton College.

Also attending the meeting will be Duf Sundheim, California state chairman and representative for Sen. Chuck Poochigian.
