Trio arrested in home burglaries

Two 18-year-old men and a boy, 15, were arrested for burglary and grand theft auto charges Aug. 21.

Several homes in Lang Ranch and Sunset Hills were broken into on Aug. 20 and 21, according to the T.O. Police Department. Mercedes and BMW sedans were also stolen.

Justin Kilgore, 18, of Simi Valley was stopped for a traffic violation shortly after a burglar alarm went off in a nearby Lang Ranch home.

The stolen Mercedes was found at the home of Nicholas Jones, 18, of T.O. When confronted at 1 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 1700 block of Avenida de Las Flores, he was captured after a short foot pursuit.

The BMW was found abandoned after it hit a tree at Lang Ranch Park.

Jones and Kilgore were booked on burglary, auto theft and possession of stolen property charges. The 15-year-old, also of T.O., was placed into the Juvenile

Justice Center in Oxnard on the same charges. Jones was also charged with resisting arrest.
