CLU to dedicate new athletic complex
     California Lutheran University will dedicate the longawaited Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center at a special public ceremony at 11 a.m. Sat., Oct. 21. The dedication event will include live music, entertainment and remarks from honored guests.

     REPAIRS WILL PAY OFF IN GREEN-- The irrigation system at Los Cerritos Middle School in Thousand Oaks at Erbes Road and Avenida de Las Flores is being repaired. School districts only have a few more weeks to complete such projects before the reopening of classes.

CLU names spring dean's list
     A total of 420 students were named to the spring semester dean's honor list at California Lutheran University. Students qualify for this honor by maintaining a 3.5 grade point average in their classes.

Berklee College honors Westlake Village resident
     Andrew Sorkin of Westlake Village was recently named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Berklee College of Music in Boston. To be eligible for this honor, a full-time student must achieve a 3.4 grade average or a 3.6 for part-time students.
