Auditions planned for Conejo Players comedy

Conejo Players will host auditions for "Whose Wives are They Anyway?," a comedy by Michael Parker, at 7 p.m. Sun., Aug. 27 and at 7:30 p.m. Mon., Aug. 28 at the theater, 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. Callbacks are slated for 7:30 p.m. Tues., Aug. 29.

When the vice presidents of the Ashley Maureen Cosmetics Corp. decide to go away for a relaxing weekend of golf without their wives, they get anything but.

They find out their new boss is also staying at the same country club. Their weekend gets turned upside down when the new president informs the men that she would never hire individuals who would go away on a trip without their wives and asks them all out to dinner. Now the men must find some willing participants to play their wives before they lose their jobs.

The play is described as "a haphazard American farce," by the theater group.

The roles offer no compensation. The show will be performed Nov. 10 to Dec. 9. For more information, call the director, George Kralemann, at (818) 259-7803.
