Take Your Thousand Oaks Acorn on Vacation
  FAMILY FUN-The Vega family of Thousand Oaks and the Morgan family gather at the lower falls of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, a natural pit formed over the centuries by volcanic eruptions, lava flows and floods from melting glaciers. CLIFFS AND VALLEYS-The Zens of Westlake Village love the view at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. AULD LANG SYNE-These friends ring in the New Year on a cruise to Mexico. In the photo are Louise Newman of Camarillo, Fran Crellin and Hope Kaplan of Westlake Village, Sarah Berry of Silverlake, and Judi Lieberman, Juliette Cole and Mary Nicklason of Thousand Oaks. THREE GENERATIONS-The Kaanapali Shores in Maui, Hawaii is the site of this family vacation. WHAT'S THAT WHITE STUFF?-Kyle, 2, and Zachary Mahon, 7, of Newbury Park see an unusual sight during a holiday trip to Toledo, Ohio-snow. PLAY BALL FOR A GOOD CAUSE-The Prowlers, the lacrosse team of Newbury Park High School, participate in the LAXAID Marathon in San Diego. They raised almost $1,000 for Hurricane Katrina victims through Habitat for Humanity. MAORI CULTURE- Joyce Sheehan of Thousand Oaks relaxes upon her arrival in the city of Rotorua, New Zealand. GRAND CHURCH- Roberta Paulsen of Newbury Park took her Thousand Oaks Acorn to St. Paul's Cathedral in London. Prince Charles and Lady Diana were married here in 1981. |
