Ferrari car show will benefit Cardiac Kids
Cardiac Kids have HEART is a Thousand Oaks-based national nonprofit organization dedicating to (H)elping (E)ducate, (A)ssist, (R)esearch and (T)reat children and adults with congenital heart disease. The association is sponsoring a Ferrari Car Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sun., Aug. 6 at the Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks to launch its "Be Smart Save a Heart" fundraising campaign.
Three top prizes will be awarded for cars in the categories of best of show, ladies' choice and classic vintage.
The event will include entertainment, food, beverages, a magician, face painting and a raffle. Car show regalia will be available for purchase. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children under age 12.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the Cardiac Kids AED grant program which provides funding for the implementation and training of defibrillators in the schools.
