Ventura Harbor Village to host Pirate's Day

Following up on the popularity of the new "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" movie release, Ventura Harbor Village will host "Pirate's Day" from 1 to 5 p.m. Sun., July 30 featuring professional pirate action shows on ship and on land, pirate photo opportunities with a Johnny Depp look-alike, a children's treasure hunt for pirate booty, pirate tattoos, strolling pirate musicians and Unkle Monkey.

Pirate action shows will include sword fights, gun battles and more as the professional pirates from Pirates For Hire in Los Angeles invade Ventura Harbor Village.

At 2 p.m. all pirates young and old may enter the pirates' costume contest in front of the carousel, with a chance to win tickets to Disneyland to visit the new Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
