Residents needed to serve on city committees
Thousand Oaks is seeking residents to serve on city committees. Openings currently exist on the Cooperative Library System Advisory Board, the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Advisory Committee and the Business Roundtable.
The library board provides feedback and communication between citizens and library administration. Applicants must be city residents and applications are due Sat., Aug. 19. For more information, call Steve Brogden at (805) 449-2660, ext. 200.
The conservancy committee has 26 members who meet monthly to propose and review projects for action and report to the conservancy regarding conformity of projects with the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy comprehensive plan. The Business Roundtable advises the city council on business issues. Applicants must be city residents with business experience, city business property owners, city business owners or employees of a Thousand Oaks business. Applications are due Mon., Aug. 14.
