Gourmet event to benefit seniors
Senior Concerns has set 5 p.m. Sun., Aug. 6 as the time and date for the 21st annual "The Ultimate Dining Experience," a gourmet wine, food and fundraising auction at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

The program will include wine tasting, martini bar and an elegant dinner prepared by prominent area chefs and highlighted by selected wines.
The silent and live auctions will offer vacation getaways, collectibles, art, gourmet dinners, custom-designed gift baskets, tickets to special events, a diamond tennis bracelet from Ben Bridge Jewelers and a wine tasting from Opolo Vineyards.
Participating chefs will be John Foerster of the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, Alberto Vazquez of Sherwood Country Club, Manny Palafox of the Westlake Village Inn, Neil and Claudine Kramer of Caf 14, Phyllis Vaccarelli of the Westlake Culinary Institute and Leo Rodriquez of North Ranch Country Club.
David Cruz, veteran anchor and reporter for NBC4TV Los Angeles, will serve as master of ceremonies.
The Ultimate Dining Experience is a the major yearly fundraiser for Thousand Oaksbased Senior Concerns, the nonprofit social service agency that serves frail and special-needs seniors and their caregiver families in Ventura and West Los Angeles counties since 1975.
All event proceeds will benefit the organization's community-based services.
