THEATRICS CONTINUE-This year's Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival continues at California Lutheran University. From left to right are Marc Silver as Iago, Anne Lockheart as Emilia, Jane Longenecker as Desdemona and Thomas Silcott as Othello. The Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival will continue its 10th anniversary celebration with performances of William Shakespeare's "Othello" in Kingsmen Park on the campus of California Lutheran University from July 21 to Aug. 6.

A love story rife with passion, betrayal, jealousy and death, "Othello" is considered one of Shakespeare's greatest works. The Moor Othello, a conquering and powerful general, marries the beautiful young Desdemona against her father's wishes. Plotting by Othello's trusted but treacherous lieutenant, Iago, turns Othello's love for Desdemona to all-consuming jealousy. The play is set in the exotic world of Mediterranean Italy and Cyprus.

Performances are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is $10 for adults, free for those under 18. Lawn box seating is available for $65 and $50. For show times and ticket information, call (805) 493-3455. The CLU campus is at 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.
