Low income residents may be eligible for property tax rebate Seniors and residents with an income of $40,000 or less may be eligible for a property tax rebate. Members of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will be available to assist with the homeowner's and renter's rebate from 9 a.m. to noon each Thursday in July and August at the Goebel Senior Adult Center, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. Applicants must be age 62 or older or blind or disabled; must have lived in their own home or qualified rented residence in California; and must meet income qualifications. Required documentation includes federal income tax re turn, Social Security benefits and proof of age for all applicants. Homeowners need to bring their county property tax bill and renters must provide the landlord's name, address and phone number. No appointment is needed for assistance.
