When the Conejo Valley Genealogical Society meets at 6:45 p.m. on Tues., July 18 at the Grant R. Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks, guest speaker Dr. Colleen Fitzpatrick will reveal hightech methods to unlock the secrets in old family photos.

Those attending are invited to bring along old family photos to the lecture on "Forensic Genealogy: Visual Autopsy Dissecting Old Photographs."

Fitzpatrick, author of "Forensic Genealogy," is recognized as an expert in optical laser measurement techniques and has many years of experience developing innovative technologies for NASA among other organizations.
