5 La Reina senior standouts

     Carolyn Rumer Carolyn Rumer, 17, of Camarillo is graduating from La Reina in the top 5 percent of her class and as an AP scholar with distinction. A gifted mathematician, Rumer said her favorite class in high school was AP calculus. In the fall, she's heading to the University of Notre Dame to pursue a career in medicine. A standout member of La Reina's winning volleyball program, Rumer demonstrated character and resilience when she battled back from a serious shoulder injury early in her junior year to become a starter on the team. A four-year participant in student government, she served as senior class secretary and as secretary of La Reina's chapter of the National Honor Society. Rumer, who also competed for four years on the Regents' track and field team, said she'd like to become a pediatrician or an orthopedist.

     Kristin Seabury Kristin Seabury epitomizes the giving spirit that Oaks Christian School instills in their students. For four years, Seabury has dedicated hundreds of hours to volunteer service, culminating in founding the school's Interact Club. As president of the club, Seabury organized a variety of fundraising and charitable events. She will attend the nursing school at Seattle Pacific University.
