Learn about racehorses at seminar

Thoroughbred Owners of California will host a free Conformation Clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Sat., June 24, meeting at the owner/trainer lounge at Hollywood Park, 1050 S. Prairie Ave., Inglewood.

Participants will visit trainers at their barns, where they'll have a firsthand look at the physical characteristics of a successful racehorse. Trainers will discuss the general composition of the horse's body, leg construction as it relates to soundness, and how conformation relates to a horse's ability to win. They will also answer questions.
