Local youth swim season around the corner

Conejo Simi Aquatics will begin its annual novice swim program-the Ventura County Swim Conference (VCSC)- Mon., June 19.

The VCSC is a summer swim league, operated and managed by CSA, which serves novice swimmers in the Conejo and Simi Valley areas.

Conejo Simi Aquatics will run six teams covering Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley. The teams will train from June 19 through Aug. 12.

These teams will compete against each other, as well as against other local novice teams such as those from Daland Swim School and local YMCAs, during a series of meets throughout the summer.

The VCSC league introduces beginning swimmers to competition and provides instruction and training in a fun, low-pressure environment.

The summer program culminates in a VCSC championship meet on Aug. 12, in which all teams in the league participate.

Additional information on the VCSC, including team practice schedules and pool locations, can be found by visiting the website www.vcscwim.org.

Conejo Simi Aquatics is a full-service, communitybased aquatics club and member of the Southern California Swimming and USA Swimming organizations. For more information, visit the website www.csaswim.com.
