Doris Kim received the Judith Anne Gustafson memorial Award at the recent honors banquet at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis.

Kim is the daughter of Jong-Jick and Hye-Sook Kim of Thousand Oaks.

The award recognizes an outstanding sophomore woman who best exemplifies the qualities of scholarship, high moral character, integrity and loyalty to the school and friends.

Kim was cited for her involvement with the student newspaper, Judicial Board, the Feinstein Challenge and as a mentor in the LARY buddy program.

Lawrence University is a leading national liberal arts college with an associated conservatory of music.
