ArtWalk will display creativity of local artists

The 19th annual ArtWalk, a two-day juried fine arts and designer crafts outdoor exhibition, will be presented from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and Sun., June 3 and 4, in the east parking lot of The Oaks mall, on Hillcrest Drive at Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

More than 175 artists, designers and crafts persons will participate.

Exhibitors' work includes paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass, photography, textiles, crafts, jewelry, mixed media work, drawings and graphics.

There will be artists' demonstrations and ongoing live entertainment provided by Cayambe, Solar Sound and Marston Smith.

Beverages and food will be available for purchase. Admission and parking are free.

A children's "hands-on" art area will be organized and overseen by Art Trek. For a nominal fee children of all ages may participate in a craft project and the creation of a mural using oil pastels.

A raffle benefiting the Conejo Valley Art Museum will offer works of art and other items. Tickets are $3 each or $5 for two.

The drawing will be at 4 p.m. Sunday and ticket holders need not be present to win.
