Viewpoint School in Calabasas recently inducted 19 students into the Cum Laude Society.

Students earned the recognition for scholastic achievement and demonstration of good character, honor and integrity.

The Cum Laude Society was founded in Maryland in 1906 to recognize superior scholarship in selected schools and was modeled after Phi Beta Kappa, the academic honor society for college graduates.

Among the inductees were Thousand Oaks residents Miles Guidon and Samir Mehrotra, both seniors; and junior Patrick Saris of Newbury Park.
