Love Run to help Meals on Wheels

Hundreds of runners, joggers and strollers in the greater Conejo Valley are signing up for Senior Concerns' 13th annual Love Run to benefit Meals on Wheels on Sun., June 4 at 2801 Townsgate Road, Westlake Village, in the parking lot opposite the Hyatt Westlake Plaza Hotel.

Race day registration will start at 7 a.m. The 5K race and the 5K walk will start at 8 a.m., the 10K race at 8:50 a.m., and the 1K kids run and 1K fun walk will begin at 9 a.m.

The registration fee is $25, which includes a free T-shirt.

Awards will be given to the first three male and female finishers in each class and all children who finish their runs. Awards will also be given to the team with the most members and the team that raises the most money.

The event also includes the traditional post-race party with disc jockey, refreshments, raffle prizes and vendor tables.

All proceeds will benefit Senior Concerns' Meals on Wheels program, which provides more than 50,000 nutritious meals annually to the area's homebound frail elderly who cannot shop or cook for themselves.
