Hospital volunteers are a vital part of the healthcare system, and adult non-students are particularly valuable because they add a level of long-term commitment and maturity that student volunteers are not able to dedicate.

"With their dependability and life experience, adult-aged volunteers are a truly valuable asset to any hospital program," said Kathy Sipes, director of volunteer services at UCLA Medical Center, L.A.

UCLA Healthcare has hundreds of unique volunteer opportunities in patient care, research labs and public service areas. Volunteer areas encompass 250 different departments. Training is provided. For more information, please call (310) 825-6001.
