Group awards scholarships

Haverim B'nai B'rith will meet 7 p.m. Mon., June 19 at Temple Adat Elohim, 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

During the evening, the group will award$500 scholarships to three local high school seniors. The awards are based on scholarship and community service.This is thesixth year that Haverim B'nai B'rith has awarded scholarships to local students.

Also on the program is guest speaker H. Elliott Fives, a senior health advisor, consultant and trainer. He will provide seniors with information, technology and levels of healthful and fulfilling ways to enjoy senior living.
