     JANN HENDRY/Acorn Newspapers SPRING PLAY--Newbury Park High School thespians and theater boosters are presenting "Aida," a modern rock opera based on Verdi's 1871 work, at 7 p.m. tonight, Fri. and Sat., May 18, 19 and 20, and later next week, Thurs. and Fri., May 25 and 26, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sun., May 21 in the school's Performing Arts Center, 456 Reino Road, Newbury Park. Theater company sets up scholarship fund
     Class Act Musical Theatre in Woodland Hills has established a new scholarship to help support young actors. The event was marked with a special one-time performance of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," presented by Class Act alumni on May 6.
